Hi, how much was the order?
Sometimes company need extra confirmation - such as a card with photo ID. It helps cut down on fraud. If the spend is alot or you're a first time cutomer, they may ask for extra ID.
I've ordered a CD player for £600 & had to send a copy of my drivers license as proof.
HOWEVER, I would be concerned with sending a copy of your card! Evisu are a respectable company - but even so, your email could get intercepted or something when it's being sent. Plus it won't be encrypted like it does to your card details, when you type them in. ALL the details on the card can be used to make purchases by someone & by the time you realise, it could be too late.
I understand the drivers license - but can't see WHY they need a copy of your card.
My advise would be to email/phone them & tell them you're happy to send a copy of your license (if you are!) but NOT a copy of your credit card. Ask if you can send any other 'proof' instead of a cc!! IF they say no - I would seriously consider cancelling my order!!
Hope this is of some use.
Be interested to know what happens & Evisu's reasoning for needing a copy of your cc.
