Dumb, as I said in previous email you are right for countries outside Italy, but for Italian brands they are available in wholesalers as well as by distirbutors, have you been to Italy?
If you go there you will find you have shops like Versace and Armani they sell stock straight from the disstributor then you will have a shop that sells 10 brands and they have purchased all their stock from wholesaler. In Italy as there is so much produced and so readily available they don't need to worry about fakes so they are happy to sell straight to wholesalers direct from the brand.
