The brands sell a license for their products to be sold by distributors in particular regions. The distributor can then do what they like (as long as its within the contract - which would be only sold within xxxx). PIs can then purchase directly from these distributors in other countries & import them to the UK to sell on. So in theory the license agreement insnt broken as the products were purchased in that area. If the PIs then take them back to another region to sell, thats why codes / tags are removed.

E.g. some of the Stone Island distributors :

SPAIN : Modania S.A
UK : Four Marketing
SWITZERLAND : Max Trade
FRANCE : Good Idea
ITALY : Sportswear Company
SCANDINAVIA : Nitty Gritty

PIs would buy direct from any of these (at the best deal).

In UK wholesalers are basically the PIs.
