built tough - seventy four
In 1992, Tokyo-born Koji Shimizu moved to Los Angeles, USA. The California lifestyle of vintage clothing, muscle cars, and surfing had a big impact on Koji and in 1997, he co-founded the Tenderloin brand with some friends. After many successful years at Tenderloin, Koji moved back to Tokyo and started 74 clothing in 2003 with a focus on authentic, vintage work wear that is made to last. A mixture of LA inspired lifestyle re-mastered with Tokyo high street sensibility and production.
