Lanvin
Lanvin: The oldest French couture house, founded in 1889 by Jeanne Lanvin, is today a reference for the Parisian industry of luxury, from fashion to perfumes and accessories. Currently Elbaz is the artistic director of all creative activities and has been the designer of women's ready-to-wear since the '02-'03 Fall/Winter Collection. Elbaz was born in Casablanca, Morocco in 1961. After studying at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, near Tel Aviv, Israel, he went on to work in New York and Italy, designing for fashion houses such as Yves Saint-Laurent. In 2007, he was named Chevalier of the Légion d'Honneur. From the '06-'07 Fall/Winter Collection, Dutch-born Lucas Ossendrijver has been Lanvin's men's wear designer. Together, Elbaz and Ossendrijver preserve and promote Jeanne Lanvin's style, a global universe of elegance and refinement.
