Default Kato’

KATO’ is a Japanese brand by Japanese denim maestro Hiroshi Kato. KATO’ was a long time denim consultant for many different worldwide companies. Having grown tired of consulting, he decided to launch his own brand called simply KATO’ in 1999 and the collection is mainly based around quality. KATO’ only uses specific fabrics along with innovative treatments, all made in Japan to bring together a highly detailed jeans and outer wear line.

hello
just read in 'senken shimbun' that Kato (team kit) has been sold to CaiTec a large trading company who have a history of breaking up small companies and 'franchising' the name off into the mass market
has anyone else heard this?

If the CaiTec history is anything to go by....don't think so...they buy up debt not stock

when the debt out weights the stock value, they take you over....simple business approach mainly used in the US but getting popular in Japan, the market there crash 28% in the last 5 months...biggest crash on record for the retail index, shops are empty, even the young market, normally the strongest is now very weak.

it's my job to know this, I work with a small consultancy for the larger product companies, denim is a hobby.
