  JUMA is a fashion design company specializing in mens and womens contemporary ready-to-wear. The company designs, markets, manufactures and distributes to leading specialty stores, franchise retailers and boutiques. Founded in Toronto, Canada in 2003, the eponymous label JUMA developed by Alia Juma (Design Director) and Jamil Juma (Creative Director) can be found in various locals around the world including Canada, United States and Japan.<br />
  Alia and Jamil Juma founded JUMA with a commitment to quality and innovation.  Their line is carried in coveted retailers including OAK (New York), By George (Austin), One Of A Few (Vancouver), Free Shop (Tokyo), Serpentine (Toronto) and many others. They have been featured in such international publications as Elle Canada, Fashion Quarterly Magazine (FQ magazine), Fashion Magazine, Sportswear International, National Post as well as Fashion Television, Rogers Television and Life Network. They have held runway shows during Toronto Fashion Week where they have collaborated with BMW, Elle Canada, L'Oreal, TD Bank, TFI, Volvo and several other companies. <br />
  Former model, Alia attended George Brown College and worked as an assistant designer at various design houses. A graduate with a degree in Biosystems Engineering from McGill University, Jamil worked as an investment strategist before entering the fashion industry. <br />
  Both Alia and Jamil are well traveled and have lived in exotic locales such as Kenya, Congo and Kazakhstan as well as all over North America including Vancouver, Montreal, Dallas, Los Angeles and Atlanta. In their spare time, the siblings have actively volunteered with various charities.<br />
<br />
In 2003, the pair set out to create contemporary clothing for men and women. As Design Director, Alia organizes and implements activities related to product design and development. Creative Director Jamil manages the overall image and positioning of the JUMA brand. Together they co-design the collection, with a clear vision of the JUMA look and an instinctive understanding of fashion and design.</div>
