is punk rock due for a come back? i would like to see it. just about had enough of all these whining little pop brats.

punk was unique to it's time. itll never come back in it's puriest form. of course youll get some pretentious joes giving it the "we are the new sex pistols or clash". but as the stranglers said, "no more heros anymore".

i could see neo-ska or neo-raggae making an appearance.

Good question. To my mind there was a certain level of genius and innovation during the punk rock era which doesn't translate naturally outside those specific times. So yes you're right it is mainly nostalgia that keeps punk alive outside the 70s.
