are all recreational drugs always wrong? i like a pinch of speed and coke occasionally and see nothing wrong with it.

I think it should be up to the individual. No use throwing people in prison when all they are doing is harming themselves.

I used to smoke quite a lot of weed and see nothing wrong with it at the time, but they do have their bad points like when you start getting hooked especially with the more harder drugs.

The problem is that it is very difficult to divine when it is only affecting the individual and when it is affecting many, often innocent, others.

What's the real difference between weed, hash and tabacco? What's the real difference between coke and alcohol?

Weed causes something like a 500 percent increase in the likeliness of long term mental health problems with only a small amount of usage.
not saying i have all the answers just that its difficult to draw a line..not just the cynical government choice of how to tax what problem.
I think a state also has to consider where it has to take a moral stance.

alcohol causes more mental health problems than all the recreational drugs combined. tabacco causes more deaths than all the recreational drugs combined. basically legalising alcohol and tabacco and illegalising other drungs is plain hypocrasy.

dont get me started on this one! all fair-minded people know there's a glaring contradiction in legislation.

Ofcorse alcohol being legal doesn't neccessitate a potentially less harmful substance from being legalised?...because it doesnt change the fact the substance is still harmful to the individual and those around them.
The existance of contradictions isn't reason enough to legalise something so detrimental to so many families.

its human nature to look for an outlet a release mechanism and alcohol, weed, cigs all facilitate that need. imo they should all be legalised for over 16s.
