with the economy so bad and the markets falling is now a good time to buy shares? and are the online companys like e-trade a good vehicle for buying shares?

got a couple of grand i inherited in an e-trade account. have no indepth knowledge of the markets just what my mates tell me.

No, no, no equity markets have not bottomed, not in a million years, trade CFD's if you want to take positions easiest access long or short to the equity markets.
