shoes question for my new school dress code?

what makes products sold online so cheap? I want to buy shoes online but am worried that the shoes may not meet the required quality standard thus leading to further complications. Is it safe to buy the cheaper shoes or should I stick to the shoe store near by?

Its the age old issue of brick and mortar retailers having greater overheads and an ability to try before you buy that makes it more expensive than another traders dealing only online. Buy the cheaper pair online by all means, you'll still be able to send them back if they are no good and get a refund ( probably less the postage costs ) but I suspect you'll get shoes that are going to fit better and be more comfortable sticking to the store near by.
