Ralph Lauren in America

I have a friend who is going to New York in January and was wondering how much Ralph Lauren polos, jumpers and jackets will be? Is the official site a good indication of the prices? Also are there any other brands that are cheaper in america than in the U.K?

When I went 18 months ago, all the American brands are a fair bit cheaper compared to the UK (if thats where you're based).

European brands (D&G, Boss, Evisu[tho not European], Ben Sherman, Ted Baker, Mochino.........) I found were quite abit more than here in the UK.

Polo.com do quite a few products that don't come out in the UK & if they do it is a while after they are realised in the US.

How much will just a plain polo shirt be though? on the website they are $65 which is what £35 i thought they were about £20 over in America?

Nah things in america are just over half the price in the UK (depending on exchange rate).

You'd be able to pick them up for £20 ($50 or so??) in sales, discount outlets etc.

If he's going to New York - tell him to go to Woodbury Outlets - that place is SOOOOOOOOOOOO cheap!!! I recommend to everyone who goes to NY.
You can get there by coach/bus (buy the tickets from Grey Line who operate the tour/sight seeing buses around NYC). Takes about an 1 or so and is THE best place I've been too!

Every designer brand, sport brand etc all at discounted prices upto 70% off then you've got the exhcnage rate & you are spending just a few quid!!
Shops there : Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Pucci, Nike, Burberry, Gucci, Lacoste, Armani, D&G, Calvin Klein, Chanel ,DKNY, Diesel, Dior, Boss, Gap, Nautica, Valentino, Cavalli, Reebok, Versace............(200+ stores).

Make him go there - definately pick up RL polos for £20 & less!!
