is evisu coming back
there's been some talk here about evisu coming back into fashion. i remember buying a pair of evisu jeans from the old kitmeout site in 2003. not bought any evisu since. has anyone bought evisu recently. like in the past year?

evisu is not what it was. the brand hasn't evolved too well and has stayed static in a kind of one-dimensional limbo. they need to break away from that whole gull-wing thing and broaden their horizons.

Bought 6 pairs in the last year all different denims and colours, like them a lot, no one denim brand will cater for all types of jeans but Evisu in my opinion are excellent.

tell them to sort out the fakes. i see loads of people wearing evisu items such as evisu hoodies that you can tell are not real

i rate evisu and always have. its not in the same league as yohji yamamoto, rmc, samurai, sugar cane but still a quality brand.

went to the savile row store today and (though I , a few weeks back, said how boring the brand have become) I found some really good bits and pieces in there.
One raw pair of denims from the herritage line with no wings on the back pocket was in particular sweet, as was a pink shirt with orchids.
Some nice polo's as well.
The jeans with oversized wing logos in gold and etc, still looks crap.
Plain tacky.
For the girls here on the forum I can recommend a visit there, some cute tops and cardies.

Dumb, what things about thsoe brands make you prefer them to Evisu? RMC I think si hype, the denim is decent but the cut I'm not keen on and the artwork I think looks tacky, I don't like Yohji jeans but I love Y3 jeans from autumn winter 06 not seen any since sadly. Not keen on Sugar Cane.
I see big variances in the denim and cut of Evisu jeans but I think the quality especially of the raw denim stuff is still there.

Evisu is more of a commercial effort than a serious fashion brand but I really like my jeans.
