Photos from 25 YEARS OF STONE ISLAND

So went to the 25 celebrations in the Stone Island/CP Company store in Beak Street (London).

It was crazy! Really busy - although it quickly settled down after half hour - people started to spread out.

FREE drinks ALL NIGHT (Cobra beer, whisky, cocktails, champagne or Coke!). Obviously didn't want to offend the hosts so took advantage of the free alcoholic beverages!

The most amount of Stone Island enthusiasts in one place! People REALLY 'in love' with the brand - everyone was chatting about their love for the jackets etc.

The collection was out of this world! Loads of jackets/coats from the past 25 years. Some of which had been put on display from the guys there. One guy has over 55 jackets!!

Went to take a photo of the Ice Jacket but was quickly told by someone running over to me - "NO PHOTOS!!". That really annoyed me as I thought NEVER again will a collection like this be put together & I wouldn't be able to show you guys............5 mins later the same guy comes over to us "your allowed to take photos now - everyone else is & we can't really stop you! But you'll NEVER be allowed to take photos in this store again!! So take advantage of it."

I'll pop up the photos from the event for you guys. Even if you don't really like Stone Island now - you will probably like stuff from many years ago & see the brand for what it was (is).

There was a quote from one of the Stone Island collectors "if this was a Vivienne Westwood collection from 25 years ago it would be in the V&A!!"
SO TRUE!!!

Look no way the brand is dead! Stone Island will always have a cult following thanks to the legendary Massimo Osti.

Of course the brand doesn't have the high street following and mass market appeal that it did a few years ago but the hard core si fanatics are still buying the brand up.

The other thing to consider is the endless number of Stone Island parallel imports and fakes on the Internet. Before the Internet the brand was controlled tightly and now since the Internet it is all different.
