Default green fashion

after seeing the blog about d&g going green i am curious to know if anyone here considers green issues when buying their clothing and footwear?

i try and fail. like most ppl im guessing??? i think about green and ethical issues a lot but then when it comes to fashion i just buy what i like and odnt think about the manufacturing techniques or materials and how they affect the environment. and if im really honest i dont even investigate if a garment has been made with child labour etc. i know i should make more of an effort

just this year been thinking about it. all these environmentally friendly jeans like kohzo, sugar cane, rogan and brands like noharm make you think about what impact fashion has on the world and our future.

and things like this rocawear outrage make me think more Sean John & Jay-Z’s Rocawear Clothing - NO! » Kitmeout

To tell the truth we did organic t shirts and although our denims weren't organic the fact they were raw denim and shouldn't be washed that much gave them a bizarre environmental slant.....

Truth be told from the buyers that I saw you could count on one finger how many were bothered by green issues and realistically a lot said their customers weren't either... go figure

Raw denim is meant to be washed, can't understand any jeans not being meant to be washed?!

Some denimheads argue that limited washing makes for a better and more comfortable fit. The hygiene issue seems to be overlooked.
