Default EBAY FOR FASHION

IS EBAY A GOOD PLACE TO BUY FASHION AND CURRENT TRENDS OR A PLACE FULL OF SECONDHAND PIECES AND FAKES?

Yes you can get extremely good deals on ebay, brand new & real. But at the same time you can get crap fakes & nasty second hands.
Its all about taking the time to look at the item, checking out a sellers history etc. Look back at what items they've sold - see if any look like fakes, bad feedback etc. But don't just go by feedback - do some research first. If you have a good knowledge of fakes etc it should be easy to skip right past them. Easy things to look for are tags & labels. I do a fair bit of selling on ebay - hardly any buying tho! For example i've sold - Stone Island, CP COmpany, Evisu, DKNY, Ralph Lauren, Irregular Choice, Timberland, Etienne Ozeki, Earl Jean, Kenzo, Replay & Sons, Armani, Moschino, One True Saxon, Urban Stone, Boxfresh.......
All first quality, brand new, real & current season.
So yes there are deals to be had - you've just got to pass all those fake rip offs!

No you don't need an account to get such brands. They just want to try & control their brand image. I would like to tell you where I get such lines - but can't. You can get very good deals - just need to know what your looking for! I would guess many people on this forum must have an interest in designer clothes / brands etc. Therefore chances are they buy designer clothes / brands etc. So therefore they must be familiar with the look of designer clothes & all the small features which they have. You then use this knowledge to search ebay. Eg : Armani tops - the tags come on a blue string sealed at the top with a plastic 'thing'. So when you go on ebay & you see Armani tops with the tags attached by one of those clear 'I' tags you think that this is prob fake! Again the shape of tops/tshirts. You see an Evisu tee in a shop, it has the Evisu gull on chest but it is a 'fitted' top & goes in a the waist. On ebay you find the same top with the gull on the chest, but this top is straight NOT fitted - this may be fake! Just pay attention to small details like above - which fakesters don't both with! You will be able to tell if real or not.

GO ON TELL ME. I PROMISE NOT TO TELL THE OTHERS

A LOT OF FAKES ARE EASY TO SPOT WHEN YOU SEE AND HOLD THEM BUT ITS HARD TO TELL WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE PHOTOS ON EBAY.

eBay is packed with fake craps, but i still shop a lost on eBay~ u just need to choose carefully, patiently and don't make up your mind just because it's cheap and ending soon! pick it because it's cheap and conviced it's real!

my approach was first spot the item you like, check on the seller (location, feedback) try to find this item in official site, so you won't get item that doesn't exist! once you find out this item *might be authentic.. use your initiative to make judgement~ or even go ask seller if it's replica (and ask i usually ask it the way that hints "it's ok~ you can tell the truth", same approach for checking quality of 2nd hands)

other eBayers might have their techniques, i would love to hear it!

ps/ CD, may i see your listings? ^^ thx

Rather not give out info as such on a forum for all to see.
As my own personal information would be accessible.
Sorry.

But if there is any thing on ebay you (all people on this forum) aren't too sure about the authenticity of - copy & paste the web address. I (+ any other users) will then check it out & explain why the garment is possibly a fake.
Only designer clothes & accessories! From the 'usual' brands - Moschino, Armani, Evisu, Stone Island, CP Company, Aquascutum, Ralph Lauren, D&G, Paul Smith, Lacoste, Hugo Boss, Etienne Ozeki etc.
Obviously not 100% accurate - but best not to waste ur money on a fake!
