Default tie, cravat to wear open without a knot, very lax and casual?

hi,

in the clubs or in fashion magazines i see that some guys wearing a short and thin cravat, very loose and relaxing without a Knot. In combination with a nice designer shirt and used jeans for example (needles to say with the shirt lay over the Jeans). Maybe the cravat had a knot, i cant remember but it was very loose, not like you would wear under a business suit.

Can somebody tell me what cravats i need for that look because i believe they are shorter, thinner and mostly in black. Sorry for the bad english!

that's a tough one. cravats are not something most ppl discuss in contemporary fashion. unless they are making a comeback and I didn't realise. maybe cd can help you as he's the fashion guru on accessories it seems.

i would say cravats are never "out". Maybe it was a kind of a short thin scarf that looked like a cravat but i could swear it was a cravat

I Wear A Cravat From Time To Time. It Was A Present From My Mum Which She Purchased From Harrods. Someone Once Told Me It Looks Pretentious. I Disagree And Wear It With A Sense Of Dignity.

My Cravat Is Red With Black Fleur De Les All Over And Is Quite Slim. Try The Harrods Website Maybe They Have Them Forsale Online.

Maybe look at Hackett, Duchamp, Ralph Lauren - even Alexander McQueen (seem to remember seeing some in Harvey Nics - but not 100% sure).

Could it not have just been a tie?
