Do you think so Neil? What makes you say that? I rate them highly. Like the clean lines and selvedge.

He's obviously just criticizing the RE denim because he's from Kato. Bad business practise imo.

The denim supplier for Red Ear is the same supplier 45RPM use IIRC.

Anyone rate Pure Blue Japan, Kicking Mule, Flathead, Imperial and Oni, here?

I'm not sure why Kato isn't allowed to critise the jeans when other members have.
There has been a mixed feeling about the jeans so I'm sure what the problem is.

I think Kato should have expanded on his two word post and could possibily told us what his reasons were - could be interesting from someone with experience in making/designing jeans.

There's quite a few people on here who are involved with various brands and they all voice their opinions - no one has said anything about them.

If or any other mods feel someone is promoting/advertising then yep I will tell them to sort it out! I don't think people should abuse the forum trying to drum up business, if they are asked about their brand then IMO that's fine.

Sorry I did not come back and explain myself sooner....

this is a personnel post.

I do not like the Paul Smith jeans, I feel that it's over designed and the cloth is not as good as it could be (for the price), the multi coloured finish to the edge is to much and the elongated belt loops look tacked on....

as for bad business practice to criticize other brands...well yes and no, I don't like there garment I feel it a little to much, that said there a people in the office who love it, it's a personnel PoV.

I'm a purest when it come to denim and as such I do not like the jeans.

I've seen the fabric and it's a bit run of the mill and the details are over designed, just not my kind of jeans

Neil

i like the colourful selvedge. i like the way ps keeps everything clean and simple and then just adds a very small and bright accent.
