its not like converse has a patent on every model. then you could say every brand is doing takes on (enter brand that first brought a leather shoe here)

MM is clearly trying to give the Converse baseball boot a hobo urban chic twist. It's a sign of the current direction of fashion; designers are too scared to go too smart and feel compelled to hobo-ise their image. Personally, I rate the smart/hobo look. The paradox epitomises the post-american evolution of western society.
