embroidery puts the production costs through the roof so most will go for print.

hi,

not too many questions.....but i dont have the answers.
we are not involved in the making of the products any longer. they do embroidery and print. my guess is that more are embroidered than printed. printing denim always looks a bit rough and "gloppy".

there is a web site by the company that makes the denim, but the line sheet information is passcode protected.

here is a picture of a 20 "head" tajima embroidery machine:
http://www.tradenote.net/images/user...ges/585623.jpg

this means it will do twenty pieces of the same design at the same time.

tajima makes the best machines. the largest tajima i have seen had 30 heads. it can be seen here:

Tajima Embroidery Machines - TFGN-930

the machines are run by a digitized tape roll. it looks alot like a miniature scroll for a "player piano". the skill of the person who "digitizes the art" is of great importance for two reasons

1) to replicate the art as closely as possible

2) to instruct the machine in the most efficient way to minimize number of stitches and thread breakage during stitching
