ben sherman brought evisu to the west but then sold the distribution rights in the uk to fourmarketing in 2002 i think. not sure if they still control the brand in america or not. basically it was a guy called peter caplin who was top dog at ben sherman who met hidehiko in the 90s and transformed the brand into a global phenomenon.

incidentally, i think ben sherman still have distribution rights to evisu shoos. that said, evisu shoos have been something of a flop which is surprising because when they first came on the scene they were pucker!
