Would love to but they are not open to the public + you would have to buy size runs etc and have to be with an agent sorry ,but could give you some details.

i live in bergamo, a large town 55 miles away from milan... (basically a short 40-50 min trip). you don't really need to go on a shopping tour to milan if you are into brands like gucci, d&g, versace, hogan Etc... you could simply stop in other towns like mine and you'll find exactly everything you are looking for.
those top notch italian brands are now well spread everywhere in italy (my man hugo will confirm) so you don't really need to look for them in big cities.
as a matter of fact, they are so diffused that they can't be no longer considered exclusive shit. most of those bags, shoes and jeans come directly from china, so you see....

but thanks god, in a city like milan you can find some quality stuff also... however, not so much like everybody think. yes, you can still find some evisu, edwins and minor brands like nudie and cheap monday. but you still have a limited choice (only european edition, few and old models...)..

when i wanted to go for some real shopping i had to fly to london... basically not in italy.

...it's funny: we are never satisfied-grass is always greener on the other side kind of...
i am in london and thinking that milano are going to be so great shopping wise. it might well be. was there for a day 6 months ago and didn't really have time to have a good look around. went to Rhinoserose or what ever the name of the department store is, wasn't that impressed.

same thing with NYC; have been there about 10 times and had the opportunity to spend 4 months there 3 years ago. didn't really find anything different there-with a few minor exceptions obviously- to what i can find here. same goes for when i went to scandinavia; they have the same stuff on offer there more or less, compared to the likes of london, nyc, paris and so on....go to the "right" stores in any of those cities and it will be all the same more or less. with little surprises.

i think that in these days with internet and media, it really have shrunk the world. we are all inspired by the same mags, celebritys, artists no matter of location and buyers go to same showrooms and trade shows so we are "forced" or perhaps made to buy the same fashion in, say Bergamo, as we would do in Copenhagen or LA.
Do I have a point here? or am i just talking b****cks.

long live internet shopping!.....so I don't have to travel thousands of meters high above the clouds, which is REALLY quite bizzare if you think about it.
if it wouldn't have been for the fact that there is a shell 15 cm thick, we would all have been sitting there screaming!!!!
and no, do not have a fear of flying. not so much anyway.....

hey adero... i got an indecent proposal...

home exchange for a week??? just the time to buy some stuff

however... watch out when going for shops exposing huge boards saying "massive sale" or shit like that... in italy, during sale periods, shops are known to put only old collections on sale.... or simply rise the original price, so that the sale one is just like the original. good luck.
