Im from Newcastle Upon Tyne and Henri Lloyd is typically seen as a "Charva" (chav) brand up here.
But that Pea Coat is cracking.

A Henri Lloyd store opened in Merry Hill Shopping centre in the Midlands and carries stock of that exact coat.

Its a chav brand in the UK, along with Fred Perry, Stone Island and a few others. Its because of the whole football hooligan scene which has influenced the chav culture we seem to have here.

i think the whole chav connotations is an anachronism. today hl, si, fp and a list of other brands are create amazing garments. the problem is all the cheap fakes that are adversely affecting a lot of brands.

Yeah I to agree with Dumb on this, its not that the brands are in anyway bad at all because clearly they are not and in the main are very well made products wth nice designs. Its the workshy layabouts who have never done a hard days work in their life wearing all the fakes that has driven down desirability of these products. By even wearing the real thing I feel like I must be on a par with these scumbags and thats an association I certainly dont want.
