There is probably a very small influence from yoropiko regarding the design, but to be fair oriental themes are popular in fashion where ever they come from.

I'm going to try & find some pics of my GCSE artwork. I dressed a mannequin and hand painted a blazer/jacket with a massive dragon on the back! Looked quite good considering I had like 10 hours to do the whole mannequin.
This was like 9 years ago - shortly after the chinese dragon theme was everywhere! Not joking!! (I doubt I influenced it but...)

I guess it depends on what you class as embroidery, are we talking like even a logo on the garment or a large scale piece of embroidered artwork. I think whatever came first it will have been on a pair of Womens Jeans.
