when im buying a formal coat, i rather have a timeless one rather than an ŽinŽ coat.
so for buying a formal coat ill always go for black/dark blue

I'd go down the lines of Aquascutum, Burberry or even Daks. I think Machiel is spot on - a timeless design would be the way to go!
