Default Kitmeout awards

Hello

it was mentioned by Dumb5 on the Agent Provocateur thread that a KMO award should be done....

let's start with how are we going to do this?

michielS, Dune diesel and buzzcock all suggested categories

designer brand, street-wear, footwear, accessories, denim, green/eco, sportswear, I'd add mens and ladies section in these...anyone else want to offer up help and ideas on how to do this??

we'll need to do some collective brain-phucking to organise a genuinely fair and objective fashion awards.

i agree we need to split into male and female. but it might be worth stopping there and saying to people now name your top 3 favourite brands from any genre?

i think we should keep it small, maybe 3 or 4 main categories men/women.
then in 10 years we can expand it to more categories.
When we set the categories, we need a timespan and what were gonna do with the winners...

can an award be really independent. some brand employees will boost their own brand with bogus votes

hello

I agree, I'd say one vote/nomination per member and have to have been a member for at least a month before now to stop anyone joining just to vote...

it'll be as independent as it can be in an open forum!

agree RAC.
do we first make a shortlist of nominees and then a voting round?

Yep that sounds about right.

Everyone can nominate brands - as there may be some that are over looked by someone. Then take the top 5 nominations in each and have a 'vote off'.
