Question: Kanye West Clothing Line?

Does anyone know when this is coming out? I heard it was called Pastel but I can't find any information about it. Your reply would be much appreciated.

Kanye West fresh off taping a Pepsi Smash performance will be developing his own line of clothing and sneakers called Mascott.

Kanye West has announced plans to launch his own clothing range. West was recently named style icon of the year.

think the line will be available in april/may 2006

Well it seams to me that this is just another rapper trying to change gears by switching from music to cloths just like P Diddy who came out with Sean John and Rock-A-Fellas who came out with RocaWear. In my oppinion these cloths are nothing but flamboyant middle class brands that their main target is teens. The worst part of it all is that these people that wear these brands try showing it off,and i don't know about you but i sure would not like to be walking around showing off something that says made in china(no offence to those of you who where it.) But this is just how i feel.

Now Kanye has an excellent style! Everytime I've seen him on TV or in mags he looks good. When he did a PA in my local club, he looked stylish, I even got to meet him!! The man was dressed well - looked as though he had planned what he was wearing. So I definately admire his taste.

I'm not one of these Tim Westwood types (wearing clothes 3 sizes too big with loud logos on them), although I do like rap music & some of the rap coulture. However I'm like YSL - I'm not in to the rappers putting their names to craply designed / made clothes! They're just sell outs, but as most are from the 'street' they're probably worried they may end up back on the 'street' - so they have to make as much $$ as they can in their 15 mins!

Now if Kanye came out with a 'real' collection aimed at normal people rather than just wannabe rappers - this would go down well & he'd get alot more praise (although not as lucrative).

But, chances are, Kanye has his own stylist who puts together his look - I think he's called Ralph Lauren!
