is there a situation when fake designer brands can ever be justified?

a dull and ordinary real garment is worth much more than a fake designer garment. fakes usually contain dangerous chemicals because they are not subject to tests. fakes are also responsible for perpetuating child slave labour and they say fakes provide money for terrorists.

so if you like to expose your body to dangerous chemicals and if you like being responsible for putting kiddies into slave labour camps and if you like funding terrorists like "osama bin hiding" then buy fakes. on the other hand, if you are a real person buy cheaper non-designer garments or slave up to buy the real thing.

I don't think there is any justification for fake goods whatever they are. In my opinion if the goods are out of your price range then buy something cheaper from the high street stores instead. Lets not forget that most fake goods are made using almost slave labour in appaling conditions. I do understand however that the desireability of some brands is such that people are under pressure from their peers to feel it necessary to buy something that they hope will fool them, just to be accepted. Just see how many kids out there are wearing fake Evisu and the like for proof of that.

true, nearly all fakes have a bad toxic smell.

i can confirm it. a mate at uni bought a fake pair of bbc jeans. he stunk out the whole dorm. they smelt the same as rotten eggs.

no real person will ever be able to justify fakes in their mind. fake clothes are for fake people. guzzle48 makes a good point. if you can't afford real designer fashion buy cheaper gear or look in the sales but don't buy fakes.

agree! if you cant afford a brand then wait for the sales or get a cheaper brand. fakes stink in more ways than one.

It says a lot about a person when they feel that they have to buy fakes. If they just sat down and thought about why they do it then they would realise that they know nothing about themselves at all. Just sheep trying to keep up with the rest of the flock!
