STONE ISLAND STILL HAS A FEW LOYAL FOLLOWERS. WITH A NAME LIKE DAVEHEADHUNT YOU PERHAPS KNOW A FEW ON THE STAMFORD BRIDGE TERRACES? THE BRAND HAS BEEN STEADILY DECLINING OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS. THE STONE ISLAND SUCCESS WAS BUILT ON ITS ABILITY TO LIMIT AND CONTROL SUPPLY TO RETAILERS. SINCE THE GROWTH IN ONLINE ETAILERS AND THE EXPANSION OF PARALLEL IMPORTERS THEIR ABILITY TO CONTROL THE BRAND HAS ALBEIT CEASED AND JUST ABOUT ANYONE CAN BUY STONE ISLAND NOW, WHICH MAKES IT FAR LESS ATTRACTIVE.

What did you buy? And did you buy online or from a shop? What did you think of the last Massimo Osti collection?

Went to Harrods & Harvey Nics on Sat, when I've been there previously they have had quite a good range of SI & CP. But this time they had hardly any thing. Just one SI jacket, with the rest SI Denims - jackets, tops, knitwear, caps. CP had a few jackets, tops, knitwear etc. So from the looks of things - Harrods & Harvey Nics don't think SI is good anymore.
They're concentrating more on the SI Denims than just SI - will SI be around in a couple of years?

Good - as I don't really have any good designer stores near me!! Quite a good range of designers/brands. Armani, Evisu, Blue Blood, Fake Longdon, Paul Smith, Hackett, Ralph Lauren, Duchamp, Maharashi etc etc. I prefer Selfridges out of the 3. Easy to browse & navigate. Harrods - can be really busy & expensive! Harvey Nics probably somewhere between the two! Probably not as big or crowded as the others. Its just round the corner from Harrods : 1-2 mins walk, if that!
Harrods window displays had REAL people as maniquins on Sat - my mate nearly sh*t himself! Was quite surreal, if a little scary!
