Default fashion discrimination

why does fashion discriminate against ppl who are not slim? the majority of us are not a size 8 so why dont the top fashion house accommodate women over a size 12?

its all about creating an illusion. fashion is one big illusion and most of the designers buy into the illusion so they create designs divorced from reality!

I think it's sad, but u can look pretty using your imagination, i know it's more difficult but it's posible. In my case, i'm very thin cause i prevent to get fat all the time, but i think that girls who are not thin can look very good as well

Fashion gives to the public what they want to see. No one wants to see a fat person on the catwalk i'm afraid. Fashion is idealist, dream, envy and utopia. If you take that away, we will be left with the most common. It's like taking music out of our society or the TV.

I'm sure the majority of men (& women) would much rather see real ladies up on the catwalk instead of skinny girls!! Real ladies have curves in ALL the right places!
I think the majority of catwalk models aren't very attractive, & that Kate Moss needs a good wash - she looks dirty (not in THAT way, I meant grubby!). They have a 'different' sort of look - which isn't very attractive!
Fashion is about being different, so they need to use the extremes - therefore super skinny!
