I also wanted to know the same thing as I was going to be given 1 for my 21st (ended up I didn't ). Luckily my Uncle is a rather successful diamond setter/jeweler who knows many watch specialists (works on [New] Bond St & worked for many highprofile clients). I new that he would be able to get one for a very reasonable price - as they generally work to 100% profit. I was after a large Gucci or Armani. So my mum asked him to find out the costs and if there were any recomendations.
The watch specialist told him that I should not waste my money - as they are extremely poor quality. They are massed produced and made on license (basically some company has just brought the name to be used on watches). Made with the same mechanics as cheaper ones. He said unless your looking to spend hundreds getting on to thousands you would be best off just getting one for about £40 - £100.

So I did just that, went out and got a Ted Baker (I had to have a brand....I wasn't gonna go round with 'Elizebeth Duke' on my wrist). The watch was £50 reduced from £195. I'm saving for my Tag....& dreaming for my Rolex.
